Another option is The New Yorker Hotel, near Penn Station in Manhattan. It is an easy travel option (about 30 minutes door to door by subway) and currently has confirmed availability, including a government rate. The website for the New Yorker Hotel is: http://www.newyorkerhotel.com/; their toll-free reservation number is: 866-800-3088. For your planning, please note the subway lines and stops listed below that are within a few blocks of the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge.
