“Achieving Energy Efficiency in Multifamily Buildings: New Opportunities”
|
Presenters’ Workspace
Thank you for your involvement in organizing or agreeing to conduct one or more sessions at AEA’s 4th North American conference on energy efficiency in multifamily buildings.
The commitment of dedicated energy professionals to share new research results, tools, strategies, and insights is what makes the Multifamily Buildings conference so valuable to attendees working in multiple disciplines and organizational settings.
We want to make your experience as rewarding as possible, both for you and for the participants who attend your session.
This page will be your personal conference workspace to help you keep track of deadlines and submissions required of all presenters. Please bookmark the page and check back periodically for additional information that will be posted here.
Registration
All presenters must register for the MFB 2008 conference. To do so, go to www.aeanyc.org/MFB2008 and follow the instructions.
We encourage all presenters to register for the full 3-day conference. Your participation in sessions in addition to your own will provide a richer experience for all the attendees, and we are confident that you will benefit from the many opportunities to exchange insights with your peers.
Registration Fees. If your organization is able to pay the full registration fee, you can help us defray the costs of the conference by doing so. As a presenter, you may take advantage of one of the following discounted rates:

In the section beneath it, and enter the code in the field marked “Discount.” Complete the remaining questions and click “Submit.” When the payment page appears, it will display your discounted registration amount.
| Although we discourage participation limited only to the session in which you are a presenter, if you (or a presenter in your session) will only be available to participate in that specific session, please notify us of this so that special arrangements can be made to accommodate such single session attendance. |

| Please call David Hepinstall at (212) 279-3903, or send an email to presenters@aeanyc.org if you need to discuss your topic or session with AEA.
Session organizers should have already taken the following steps for each of their approved sessions:
1. Confirm with your recommended panelists or presenters their commitment to participate in the session(s) you have proposed.
2. Provide AEA with the email address for each approved speaker or facilitator (if you have not already done so), so that we can contact all to insure that they register for the website, receive discount codes, and have access to this webpage.
3. Promptly notify AEA of any changes in panelists or other presenters by sending an email to presenters@aeanyc.org.
4. Ask each of your committed presenters to submit a biographical sketch (250 word maximum, please) and digital photo (headshot or close-up preferred) for inclusion in the conference program. Do the same for yourself. These items should be submitted via email to presenters@aeanyc.org at AEA. (The photo is optional, but a useful tool to help attendees to identify a specific presenter at networking events and breaks.)

5. By now, AEA should have received any special audio-visual requirements for your presentation or session. All session rooms will be equipped with an LCD projector, a laptop computer, and a flip chart. If you have not notified us of additional requirements (such as an audio hook-up for a video program with sound or other special equipment needs), please complete the attached "Presenter Audio Visual Needs" form immediately to let us know and send it to presenters@aeanyc.org.
- To do this, you must download and save the form to your computer, complete it, save it with a file name that includes your last name, and send the form to the above email address.
6. Electronic presentation files and “handouts.” Our goal is to use as little paper and ink as possible for distribution of presentation materials. Please prepare your papers and visual aids in formats (e.g., PowerPoint or other generally available software) that can be shared with conference attendees electronically. Instead of conference CD, we will post presentations for a limited time on AEA's website following the conference. Only conference attendees will be notified that presentations are posted. We will contact you during the conference to obtain your permission before any materials are posted. No materials will be posted without your permission.

Evaluation. Evaluation forms will be provided for all sessions. Click here to see the form template.
Please remember our Conflict of Interest policy. Presenters are advised to avoid making recommendations of any proprietary products and to maintain neutrality towards any commercial interest. Instead, please focus on the functional performance of technologies and program strategies you will discuss in your presentation. To maintain the usefulness and credibility of conference sessions, sales or promotional presentations must be limited to the exhibit hall.
Schedule and Deadlines. Please refer to the schedule below for upcoming deadlines. Check back occasionally for updated information.
